Gustavo A. Fortich has been practicing law in Florida for more than 23 years and specializes in the administration of probate estates and estate planning. Gustavo has handled hundreds of probate estates and his extensive estate planning experience includes the preparation of trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and deeds.
In addition to his probate and estate planning experience, Gustavo has extensive experience in residential real estate matters, including review and preparation of contracts, transfer documentation, the review and preparation of title searches, title commitments and title policies, the preparation and review of settlement documentation, and conducting cash and mortgage closings.
Gustavo was born in Colombia, South America, and is fluent in English and Spanish. He has routinely presented workshops in both languages on the basics of Estate Planning, for groups, organizations, and businesses.
While in law school, at Florida State University, Gustavo volunteered with the Migrant Farmworker Outreach Program of North Florida Legal Services and Catholic Charities of North Florida wherein he assisted in the translation and completion of paperwork for matters of immigration, medical care, and government assistance programs, and provided general legal assistance in conjunction with qualified professionals. Additionally he participated in the clinical program of the Children’s Advocacy Clinic, representing juveniles in delinquency and dependency actions.
